CATV / RF Over Fiber
CATV Receiver Solutions for RF Over Fiber Networks
A CATV receiver (fiber optic RF receiver) is a critical component in modern broadband infrastructure, converting optical signals into RF output for distribution across coaxial networks. These receivers are widely used in CATV headends, RFoG systems, HFC networks, and FTTx deployments, enabling reliable delivery of video, data, and voice services over long distances with minimal signal degradation.
Maxcom CATV receivers are engineered for high output performance, low noise, and exceptional signal integrity, supporting applications ranging from single-dwelling units to large multi-dwelling and commercial environments. With features such as Automatic Gain Control (AGC), high RF output levels, PON pass-through capability, and OBI mitigation, these solutions ensure stable operation across a wide range of network conditions. Whether deployed in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), fiber-to-the-building (FTTB), or RF overlay networks, Maxcom receivers provide the flexibility and reliability required for today’s high-bandwidth demands.
Transport RF signals: Cable TV (CATV), L-Band (SMATV), NTSC, DOCSIS, Return Path and other RF signals over 110km over a single fiber.
In-Line EDFA
The EDFA is an in-line optical amplifier for long haul transmission networks. This optical amplifier is packaged in a 19” rack mount housing to provide a complete optical communications solution. Maxcom offers our MXA57 platform which may be ordered with various output powers between and mid stage access ports to add DCMs if needed.
2×1 Auto Detect Optical Switch
A (2x1) optical protection switch provides two diverse routes for the same link. On detection of a failure, the unit automatically switches to the redundant route.
2 x 1 RF Switch with Auto Detect
Auto detect 2×1 RF switch, used for simple automated switching or redundancy of the RF signal path.
