MX5000GD is a DWDM Gigabit Ethernet Transmitter that repeats Gigabit Ethernet signals using DWDM technology. The MX5000GD employs 100 GHz wavelength lasers. The MX5000GD version includes SNMP management. MX5000 chassis holds up to 4 MX5000GD Gigabit Ethernet DWDM cards. It expands network data transmission distances beyond 2km limitation of multimode optical fiber to maximum of 110km by transmitting over singlemode fiber optic cable in full duplex mode. The MX5000GD has easy-to-read link status LED’s for continuous status reports on LAN and WAN link status. It uses standard SC/APC fiber optic connectors and is IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-FX compliant and operates with all devices that adhere to this standard.
